Electric MG journey...

The Electric MG-F is the vehicle that started Electric Dream Machine. It was the proof of concept for our company and was the first of its kind in Australia.

The Electric MG-F was converted by our co-founder Mark Newell from his 1999 MG-F, which he had owned since it was new. Despite enjoying driving the car over the years, it had also caused him significant expenses due to head gasket and cooling issues. When the car stopped working, Mark decided to try converting it to electric rather than scrapping it. With no prior knowledge in engineering, mechanics, or electronics, he began the process of converting the MG to electric with the help of the AEVA Geelong Branch, a local group of EV enthusiasts in Geelong, Australia. The conversion took two and a half years and involved building a reliable and cost-effective electric sports car from mostly recycled OEM electric car components.

We will soon offer the Electric MG-F as an EV kit or as a conversion service for your MG-F or MG-TF.
