In our latest conversion project, this 1961 VW Beetle will be equipped with our water-cooled EM57 Nissan Leaf motor and inverter, coupled to our custom-designed adapter plates for the original VW gearbox. The Beetle will retain its 4-speed gearbox and clutch. When completed, this Beetle will be quite zippy, and most driving can be comfortably done in 3rd gear, thanks to its impressive torque.
